We have always been aware of our great responsibility to nature, which is where all our resources come from, and we strive through a number of dedicated activities to keep the impact on the environment by our business operations as low as possible and to further reduce it step-by-step.

  • We are committed to complying with all environmental laws, regulations and stipulations by public authorities.

  • We work continuously on improving our environmental performance beyond this minimum standard.

  • We want to minimise and eliminate as far as possible the environmental impact resulting from the work at our production sites by using the best available technology at an economically feasible expense.

  • The manufacturing processes for our products and all organisational processes are evaluated in advance and improved according to environmental and economic perspectives.

  • We want to increase our use of raw materials and fuels that help conserve natural resources and can be used effectively from environmental, financial and economic perspectives.

  • We maintain an active environmental and waste management system to monitor and minimise environmental impact, particularly in the area of air emissions and waste handling.

  • We motivate our employees to act responsibly toward the environment and integrate them into measures for improving our environmental standards.

  • To avoid the emission of pollutants in connection with malfunctions or accidents, we have established appropriate internal organisational instruments and the plant conditions are inspected at regular intervals in cooperation with public authorities and external experts.

  • We keep our employees, neighbours, business partners and public authorities informed of our environmentally relevant activities in an open and direct manner, maintaining a constant dialogue.

  • We want to advise our customers and the public with the help of modern communication tools regarding the environmentally responsible handling of our products and share with them our environment protection competence.

  • We apply the methods and procedures of proven and standardised quality and environmental management systems for the monitoring and documentation of our defined goals.

  • We take measures to ensure that the contracting partners working on our plant grounds (subcontractors, suppliers) behave in accordance with our environmental policy.

  • These principles are re-evaluated and adapted every year during the course of the company’s environmental audits and the environmental management review.
