This segment comprises:
• InterCal Austria, headquartered in Klagenfurt with a plant in Peggau
• InterCal Croatia d.o.o. in Sirac and Ličko Lešće, Croatia and
• InterCal Slovenija d.o.o. in Zagorje and Zidani Most, Slovenia
Lime extraction has a rich tradition in Zagorje as the beginnings of this activity date back to the year of 1804. After many years of using Weinberger kilns the first hydration plant was built in 1961. Later construction began on ring shaft kilns, which began to operate in 1971 with the total capacity of 130.000 tons of quick lime per year. In 2005 company IGM Zagorje was taken over by Salonit Anhovo until it joined the Wietersdorfer group based in Klagenfurt in 2014. Today under the umbrella InterCal by Wietersdrofer, together with the Austrian and Croatian subsidiaries, we have a uniform presence on many markets where we offer our customers a professional advice and reliable delivery services of high quality products by exchanging many years of experience.
